Isaiah Lopez

Isaiah is a graduate student in the Chemical Biology Ph.D. program. He is broadly interested in natural products biosynthesis, microbial enzymology and chemistry, and antibiotic resistance. As an undergraduate, he studied tailoring enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of a ribosomally synthesized and post-translationally modified peptide (RiPP). Outside of lab, Isaiah can be found playing the clarinet, watching drag on YouTube, or hanging out with his friends.
