Ruocheng (Ronnie) Yu
Ruocheng (Ronnie) Yu obtained his Ph.D. from Rice University under the supervision of Prof. K. C. Nicolaou, and stayed in the same lab as a postdoctoral research scientist before joining the Balskus lab in 2023. At Rice, Ronnie studied the total synthesis of complex bioactive natural products, including gukulenin B. His current interest in the Balskus lab involves the discovery of new bacterial enzymes. Outside the lab, Ronnie enjoys exploring the great Boston area and paying visits to local museums.
